Artist Mahfuza Shammy Rahman (MSR) curates this series to tell a universal story about having love and then losing it. Through the use of color, line and geometric conceptions she alludes to the chaos of finding love, falling hard and the journey to acceptance and peace after losing it. The retro-futuristic series of work echoes the European geo-movements of the past and brings them into the contemporary era by infusing a sense of self, identity and femininity into geometric patterns. The artist uses nature as the grounding force to explore the human condition on this Earth. Each of these works are paintings one can get lost in, with the hopes that you see more of yourself the deeper you look. The artist’s mission is to inspire a world with more compassion and create a sanctuary for those who feel they have nowhere to turn.

“I’m a sensorial person. Songs tell the stories I don’t have words for and paint is the melody that gives them life.” - MSR
